Compulsory Purchase and Compensation

  • Infrastructure requirements - increasing demand for land use leads to growing infrastructure requirements such as road schemes, water, sewage and gas pipelines, cables, and telecommunication masts. The Practice regularly negotiates with companies and authorities holding statutory powers concerning:-

    • pre land entry matters

    • site accommodation works

    • the preparation and settlement of easement, surface damage and disturbance compensation claims

  • Negotiating Heads of Terms leading to the completion of telecommunication mast lease agreements

  • Liaising with regional electricity suppliers for the granting of wayleave consent agreements and easements regulating overhead cables together with settling access and capital payments and subsequent disturbance compensation claims arising during and following the construction period.
